Michel Lapointe prisoner being held in a prison in Ottawa, Canada, has been released early in his sentence because he was too fat for his cell. Lapointe, or Major Mike, forms 250 kilograms (450 pounds).
In general, Lapointe served two years of his five years in prison. Their release stated: "You have been detained for more than 25 months and the conditions of his detention are difficult because of his health." Two other facilities refused to take him.
Lapointe, 37, said: "I'll have a bed and finally have a president who can sit in. I want a normal life. I've done some stupid things and I've paid for them."

Man Pregnant With Second Baby
Bend, Oregon - Thomas Beatie, 34, says he is in the first trimester of pregnancy with his second child. After giving birth in June to his first, Susan, he decided to stay off testosterone to get pregnant again. He is on track for a June 12 delivery.
Beatie, a transgender who was born Tracy but got surgery in 2002 to become Thomas, didn't have his sexual organs switched. He said, "I don't feel like removing your sexual reproductive organs will make you any more of a man or any less of a woman."
Since the first birth, he's had to keep a low profile due to death threats. He says unease he creates in others is because "people are not used to seeing the image of a pregnant man." Beatie's life story, "Labor of Love," hits bookshelves this week.
